Premium Indian Catering | Serving Edison, Iselin, Parsippany & All of NJ
Here's what we've learned after catering hundreds of events across New Jersey — people don't just want good food. They want food that feels like home. That's the whole idea behind Mejwaani's Indian catering service. Weddings, birthdays, office parties, puja celebrations — we've done them all, and we bring the same kitchen we cook in every day to your venue.
We're based out of Edison NJ but we cater all over — Iselin, Parsippany, Jersey City, Woodbridge, Piscataway, you name it. Bhog catering for a temple? We've got it. Samosa stations and chaat counters at a wedding? That's our bread and butter (well, our pav and butter). Biryani catering setups for 300? Done it more times than we can count.

Look, there's no shortage of Indian catering near me results when you search in New Jersey. But here's what sets us apart — we actually run a restaurant. This isn't a side hustle or a ghost kitchen operation. We've been feeding Edison, Iselin, and basically all of Central Jersey for years. Families come back. Temples call us again. Wedding planners have us on speed dial. That kind of trust doesn't come from a nice website — it comes from consistently showing up with great food.
And we don't just drop off trays and disappear. Our team handles the menus, the setup, the serving, and yes — the cleanup too. Need Jain options without root vegetables? No problem. Vegan spread alongside butter chicken? We do that every other weekend. Half the families in NJ have mixed dietary needs and we've figured out how to keep everyone happy at the same table.
We get it — your wedding food has to be perfect. Not "pretty good," not "it was fine." Perfect. Because that's what people talk about afterward. We've been doing Indian wedding catering in NJ long enough to know that every family has opinions, and our job is to make all of them happy. Maharashtrian thalis for the aunties? Done. North Indian spread with paneer and kebabs for the cousins? Of course. Live food stations so the younger crowd has something to Instagram? Absolutely. Our Indian wedding catering packages cover everything — multi-course menus, service staff, decorated stations, veg and non-veg options. We've catered weddings in Edison, Iselin, Somerset, Parsippany, Princeton — basically anywhere in Jersey where two families are about to become one. Give us a call and we'll set up a tasting.
Tired of the same sad sandwich platters at your office events? Yeah, so is your team. We do corporate Indian catering all across New Jersey — office lunches, team celebrations, Diwali parties, product launches, you name it. And we're not talking about reheated buffet trays. We bring the real stuff. Need individual boxed lunches for 50 people? Easy. Full buffet setup for a 500+ company event? We've pulled that off more than a few times. We cater to businesses in Edison, Iselin, Woodbridge, Jersey City, Newark, Parsippany — really anywhere in NJ where people are hungry and tired of pizza Fridays.
Bhog catering is something we take really seriously — and not just because the food has to taste right. It has to be prepared the right way. No onion, no garlic, strictly sattvic. We've been doing this for temples, community pujas, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, Navratri events, and private satsangs across New Jersey for years now. The menu depends on the occasion — sometimes it's khichdi and varan-bhat, other times it's sabudana khichdi, puran poli, or shrikhand. We work closely with mandirs and families to make sure everything meets religious requirements. If you've got a puja or temple event coming up, just call us and we'll figure out the right menu together.
Nothing gets a party going like watching food being made right in front of you. That's why our live food stations are always the spot where everyone crowds around — pani puri shots disappearing in seconds, pav bhaji sizzling on the tawa, samosa counters that never seem to have enough. We set these up at weddings, birthday parties, corporate events — anywhere in New Jersey where you want people to actually have fun with the food.
This is the one where people forget they're at a formal event and just start lining up like they're on Juhu Beach. Pani puri shots, bhel puri, sev puri, dahi puri, samosa chaat — all made to order, right there. We've seen this station steal the show at mehndi nights, cocktail hours, and corporate mixers more times than we can count.
There's something about watching butter melt on a giant tawa while someone mashes vegetables with that satisfying thwack. Our chef makes it fresh right in front of your guests — toasted pav, special spices, and enough butter to make a cardiologist nervous. This one's a crowd favorite at pretty much every event we do.
Because no Indian event is complete without sweets. Our dessert station does fresh jalebi, falooda, and a few rotating favorites depending on the season. There's something about watching jalebi being piped into hot oil and coming out golden that just makes people happy. It's a sweet ending that people actually remember.
The smell alone is worth it. Fresh naan puffing up in the clay oven, tandoori chicken getting those charred edges, paneer tikka and seekh kebabs coming out sizzling — your guests won't be able to stay away. We bring the full tandoor setup to weddings, corporate events, and private parties anywhere in NJ.
We're based in Edison but honestly, we've loaded up the van and driven all over the state at this point. Here are some of the places we regularly cater Indian events:
Don't see your city listed? Doesn't matter — we travel up and down the East Coast. Just call us and we'll figure it out. We haven't said no to a location yet.
Pretty much everything — Indian weddings (big and small), corporate lunches, birthday parties, Diwali and Navratri celebrations, temple pujas, bhog events, baby showers, graduations, house parties. We've done intimate dinners for 20 people and massive receptions with 500+ guests. If food is involved, we can handle it.
Yes, and we take this very seriously. Everything is prepared sattvic — no onion, no garlic, strictly vegetarian. We make khichdi, varan-bhat, puran poli, shrikhand, and more depending on the occasion. We've worked with temples and community organizations all across NJ and we know the requirements inside and out.
Of course. We do full vegetarian menus, Jain-friendly options without root vegetables, and vegan setups on request. Honestly, a big chunk of our catering orders in NJ are vegetarian — community events, temple functions, families with mixed preferences. We know how to make veg food that nobody complains about.
Oh, these are fan favorites. Live samosa counters, dum biryani catering setups, pani puri stations, chaat counters — you can add any of these to your catering package. Honestly, the live food stations always end up being where everyone hangs out at weddings and corporate events. People just can't resist watching food being made fresh.
For smaller events, 4-6 weeks is usually enough. But if you're planning Indian wedding catering in NJ, try to book 3-6 months out. Wedding season and Diwali weekends get booked fast — we've had to turn people away because they waited too long. The earlier you reach out, the better.
100%. Every event is different and we build the menu around what you actually want. Tell us your preferences, any dietary restrictions, the vibe of the event — and we'll put together something that works. Could be a traditional Maharashtrian thali spread or a North Indian and Mughlai feast. It's up to you.
Yep. Our team shows up, sets everything up, serves throughout the event, and cleans up after. You don't have to worry about any of it. That's kind of the whole point — you should be enjoying your own event, not running around dealing with food logistics.
We do, especially for bigger events. There might be a small tasting fee, but we adjust that against your final bill once you confirm. It's a good idea honestly — gives you a chance to try everything and tweak the menu before the big day.
We take cash, card, Zelle, and bank transfers. We ask for a 50% deposit to lock in your date, and the rest is due before the event. Pretty straightforward.
If you cancel at least 5 days before the event, we'll refund 50% of your deposit. Cancellations within 5 days of the event — unfortunately we can't do refunds at that point since we've already started prepping.
Just give us a call at +1 (732)-424-4320, shoot us an email at info@mejwaani.com, or head to www.mejwaani.com. We'll get back to you quickly.
So whether you need bhog catering for a puja next month, a full-service wedding catering package for 400 guests, corporate lunch catering that'll actually impress people, or live samosa and chaat stations for a house party — we're your people. Just tell us what you're planning and we'll handle the rest.
There's a reason families across Edison, Iselin, Parsippany, Jersey City, and all of NJ keep calling us back. We'd love to cook for your next event too.
